A Great Easter Weekend

Mom, Dad, Lucy and I went to visit my Grandma and Grandpa over the long Easter Weekend. I had a great time visiting with family and friends. We went to see my great great aunt Rose in the nursing home. All the nurses there like it when I come to visit...they all like to see how much I've grown. The best part of the trip was that Grandpa let me drive his tow truck...

We also got a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny on Sunday after Easter Dinner! We all had a great time watching the Easter Bunny hop around, especially the dogs, they were interested in the big bunny. The Easter Bunny hid some eggs around Grandma and Grandpa's house and my cousin Jayden is big enough to pick them up in her Easter basket. Everyone thought it was a lot of fun, except for some reason my great aunt Carol missed the Easter Bunny's visit...she was nowhere to be found while the Easter Bunny was there.

I got to see my Great Grandma on Easter Sunday too. It was so nice to see here again and have her hold me!

Here I am on the car ride home wearing my new shades. Mom and Dad thought I looked pretty cool!

My Six Month Pictures

Here are my six month pictures. I had a pretty good time getting my pictures taken even though I didn't understand why the lady taking the pictures was acting so silly!

I finally figured it out!

Well, today I finally figured out how to roll to get somewhere. This has been a tough thing to figure out, but I now can roll from my tummy to my back and then from my back over to my tummy and keep going until I reach an obstacle like the couch! Mom was really impressed when she was watching me do this tonight! I think it's pretty cool too, because I giggle when anyone watches me do this!

O Happy Day!

Here I am smiling! I got to have my pictures taken today to capture me at six months old. Even though we had to wait for quite awhile at the picture place, I stayed in a great mood. Mom and Dad were very proud of me as I was very happy during the pictures and they think my pictures turned out awesome. I thought the whole thing was kind of silly because this strange lady kept making all these funny noises and I just wanted to look at Mom and Dad and smile, not at her.

I'm really teasing Mom & Dad! They really want me to roll over from my back to my tummy. I am keeping them on the edge of their seats because I roll ALMOST all the way over and then instead of going over, I roll back the other way! They tell me this doesn't count and are really encouraging me to roll over all the way! I'm being easy on them, because once I start rolling all the way, I'll be mobile and they'll really have to watch me! Any day now, I'll end the suspense and finally roll from my back to my tummy!

My Current World at 6 months

Well, today was my six month birthday! I've had quite an exciting month! I have two teeth now and my mom and dad really like looking at them. Mom doesn't really like me chewing on her finger any more though, she says it hurts. Last week I had to go to the doctor for my check up. Everyone there always comments on how big I am and how happy, I smile at all the nurses and my doctor! They weighed and measured me and I now weigh 24 pounds 6 ounces and am 29 and 3/4 inches long (yeah, I'm off the charts!!). Daddy says we should contact Shaq and have him start saving his shoes for me since my feet are so big! I'm eating green beans this week along with my usual cereal, I haven't found a food I don't like yet...Mom and Dad are not surprised, I like to eat! Last week I also started rolling over consistently from my tummy to my back. I had only done this once or twice before, but now it is old hat for me. They know I don't really like being on my tummy so now anytime they put me down on my tummy I flip over!

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Today when Mom came to get me from daycare, I was on my back on the floor playing. and Jim (one of my daycare providers) came from the kitchen and said, "I put him down on his stomach". So, they turned me over to my stomach and within two seconds I rolled over to my back as if I'd been doing it for months! It's so easy now, I finally decided to show Mom and Dad that I could do it!
